How to Restaining Furniture

Have a perfect color is a must for your furniture. But color furniture is not long last than the natural color. So, you need an extra maintenance if have a colored furniture. If you have wooden furniture, it needs to restain. Generally, wooden furniture will get a stain, so restain is the repetition of the staining process. The wood stain is the final process of the making of furniture. It is a usual call as a finishing. 

Restain Furniture Darker

Some of the people want to make their wooden furniture darker than the natural color. So, you can restaining furniture to make it dark as you want. 

1. First, you need to remove the hardware from your furniture. To protect your floor, you should place the cloth or newspaper under your furniture and around of it. 
2. And then you can send the furniture surface. You have to get sand through the entire base stain. It can you do if you want to start with the bare wood. You can use a palm sander. The easy way by fold a piece of sand paper to sand. It is to reach that area like narrow support on the back of chairs. You have to apply constantly, pressure in steady and sand in the grain direction. When you do that work, you are better doing in outdoor with free ventilation. It is because it can bring a good circulating fresh air. 
3. The next step is by wipe the furniture with a clean cloth. It is for remove all of dust or debris.
4. And then you can directly apply the dark stain to your furniture. Use fine bristle paint brush to brush it on, cover the furniture completely and wipe the stain on with a rag. And then you have to let the stain soak in. the stain should be left for 12 hours. 
Some of furniture are made by wood material. The common issue of colored wooden furniture is getting vanish. Therefore, you need to restaining furniture to make it look as new.  The daily furniture is that you often to use is a table. Restaining furniture is not difficult. You can do it by yourself at home. You do not need to call handyman to do that. 

Restain the Table

1. You have to apply a varnish stripper to the table. You have to get varnish in all complete tables. You have to allow the varnish is dry completely. To make the surface is smooth; you have to use fine sandpaper. It is also for remove the entire residue. Before you attempt the restaining furniture, you have made sure that the previous varnish was gone. And then you can wipe off the table to remove the dusts from sanding. 
2. After the wood is clean, you can apply the first coat of stain by using a bristle brush. And then to wipe up the excess of stain, you can use a clean rag. Repeat previous step until become your desire shade and allow the coat until dry completely.
3. After the final coat was dry, you can apply polyurethane with a clean paintbrush.
